At our Superkids Camp Academic Station, campers find out that math, reading, and writing can be fun! We use the Eye Level academic approach, based on self-directed learning in a stimulating small-group setting. On the first day, our Math and English teachers give each child a diagnostic assessment, determining each camper’s strengths and weaknesses. The teachers then create an individualized learning plan for each child, which they will follow for the duration of the camp.

Every day at this station, campers sit in small groups and work their way up through the levels of our curriculum at their own pace, with targeted instruction from the teachers. During Math, campers practice both arithmetic skills and problem-solving strategies, using eye-catching curriculum booklets and fun manipulatives to help them visualize the subject matter. During English, campers rotate through reading, writing, and listening activities to help them practice comprehension strategies in an engaging and interesting way.

As campers advance through the curriculum, we test their mastery of the skills. By the end of the summer, your child will be ready to return to school without the dreaded summer brain-drain, and they’ll be miles ahead of their classmates!

The Superkids Camp Creativity Station provides one of the most powerful and engaging summer experiences for kids. Over the course of 9 weeks, your child will have the opportunity to embark on a variety of artistic endeavors. Campers will explore the visual arts, learn musical instruments, have fun singing their hearts out in a group, role play, and act out skits that are serious, dramatic, or just plain silly. They’ll also test their movie-making skills by taking on the roles of director, writer, and performer. Your child will collaborate with other campers as they explore different ways to be their creative selves! The summer course catalogue will include musical theater (group singing, pantomiming and acting games), individual and small group musical instrument lessons focusing on technique and learning to read music. and art studio where we will explore mediums such as drawing, painting, and sculpting, as well as learning about art history.

At our Superkids Camp Fitness Station, campers will jump, dance, stretch, and play to their heart’s content, with the help of master physical trainers who stress the importance of healthy habits and fun fitness.

Campers will learn, through fitness classes and games, that healthy living and fun go hand-in-hand.  Activities range from kickboxing, yoga, and Zumba, where your child will work cooperatively with their fellow campers to get a collaborative workout that’s both exciting and engaging. Our neighborhood park provides a great outdoor venue for team sports and competitions, which will be held on warm and sunny days. Your child will even learn about nutrition from the experts on staff!

Campers will have a blast while connecting nutrition, health, fitness, and teamwork together into an 9-week immersive experience, instilling great habits and great memories that will stay with your child for years to come!

We think that SI Superkids Summer Camp is the best around, but don’t take our word for it! Here are some words from past campers and their parents.

“My favorite part of camp was art and dancing!”

—David Mathurin, Age 6

“I liked making pinatas during art, and I liked reading stories in English!”

—Johan Abraham, Age 9

“We painted, I learned how to do the piano, and I liked playing music. The teachers at tutoring were the best!”

—Jaden Abraham, Age 7
